The seventh and present manvantara, under Shraddhadeva Vaivasvata Manu, son of the sun-god Vivasvan. Purandara (the present Indra) rules the heavens, and the Lord appeared as the dwarf Vamana. We stand in its 28th chatur-yuga.
The reign of a single Manu — with his own Indra, his seven sages and the avatāra who descends to guard dharma. We are within the seventh, that of Vaivasvata Manu.
