Inhalation (Pralaya) — the Wheel of Vedic Time · प्रलय

Inhalation (Pralaya) (Pralaya · the in-breath) in the Vedic reckoning of time (Śrīmad Bhāgavatam). It spans 311.04 trillion years. Mahā-Viṣṇu breathes in. Every universe — with its Brahmā, its worlds and its time — is drawn back into his body and rests in the unmanifest. This is the prākṛtika pralaya, the dissolution of prakṛti herself, until the next out-breath.
